!! SPOILERS AHEAD !!

NOTE: that this guide is done with the newest version (1.2) of the game as some ways got removed and some got added and revamped.

As you know, Folly is one of the romanceables in Dateline. But lots of people have trouble in figuring out just how to get the final heart to be able to get a successful date with her!

The short answer is that there are 5 ways into getting her last heart, this lil' guide is to help you get that final pesky heart if you haven't already! Note that all the options give different flavour text in Folly's part, so I encourage you to explore!

Some parts I will be repeating the way as I will be assuming that some people might jump at one in specific so instead of pointing to another part I'll just repeat the way to do it for certain characters.

REQUIREMENTS BETWEEN EACH ENDING:

• THE SCHISMATIC: Good End for PartyNoob, Bad End for Pest, Good End for Infected 
• THE COCKROACH: Neutral/Bad End for PartyNoob, Bad End for Pest, Neutral End for Infected
• THE UNDISTINGUISHED: Neutral/Bad End for PartyNoob, Neutral End Pest, Bad End Infected
• THE MONSTER: Neutral/Bad End for PartyNoob, Bad End for Pest, Bad End Infected
• THE COMPLETIONIST: Good End for PartyNoob, Good End for Pest, Good End for Infected, when asked opinion go negative.

NOTE: THE SCHISMATIC AND THE COMPLETIONIST ONLY WORK IN VERSION 1.2.

THE SCHISMATIC

I like calling this route, bug-lite.

In simple terms, you have to get the good ending in both PartyNoob and Infected and then get a bad ending for Pest.

TIP: For the ones that you get a good ending, some items they can accept with the gifting mechanic. In turn, you get a free heart, take advantage of the option!

For PartyNoob: You have to get the good ending (aka, 5 hearts) and ensure that you reach the following screen:

For Pest: You have to get the bad ending for him, ensure you reach this dialogue and you are on the right bad ending for him (ensure that you DO NOT KILL the centipede as it will lock you out of Folly's heart):

For Infected: Get the good ending with him (and 5 hearts of course!) and get to this dialogue :

If you got all three dialogue choices, you're on the right track as from then on once you get to Folly, you will get the different dialogue and her extra heart :D!

THE COCKROACH

In simple terms, you have to get the bad/neutral ending with PartyNoob, bad ending for Pest, and neutral for Infected.

For PartyNoob: You just have to ensure you have less than 4 hearts and reach the following screen:

For Pest: You have to ensure that you have 0 hearts with him DO NOT PRESS THE COCKROACH OPTION YOU WILL GET THE WRONG ENDING ensure you get the following dialogue choice:

For Infected: You have to get between 1-4 hearts, not 0 because you will get the bad ending and not 5 as you get the good ending.

Ensure you get this dialogue as it is for his neutral end:

Now you will have Folly commenting on your choices on the ones you specifically hurt, way to go!

THE UNDISTINGUISHED

In simple terms, you have to get the bad/neutral end for PartyNoob, neutral ending for Pest and bad ending for Infected.

For PartyNoob: You just have to ensure you have less than 4 hearts and reach the following screen:

For Pest: You want to focus on going the neutral ending for him (big surprise since this whole guide is really big on getting his bad ending all the time you'll learn to see)

For Infected: You want to ensure you get the bad ending, which means getting 0 hearts with him.

For starters, Infected has two extra heart choices before his minigame, to make sure you get 0 hearts, you have to choose the wrong answer in both.

Before you see him, you are faced with two choices: "(Why are we back home?)" and "Wait... Melanie you didn't...".

If you choose the first one,  when asked to shake his hand, you must press "Ignore him."

If you choose the second one, you need to press "Bruh, you better remember me this time."

For the second extra heart choice, it comes to listening to his ramble. You must press the "Skip ahead." option.

Finally, during his minigame, he has a guaranteed heart choice, but on the other side of things, he also has a choice to remove that heart. That choice is in the dialogue choice of talking about his hair. There you can mention that it "Looks like Justin Bieber's", which insults him (obviously) and you'll lose the heart.

You know if you got the right ending if you reach this dialogue:

After this, you should be able to reach the extra heart with Folly and her extra dialogue!

THE MONSTER

Now, if you like any of the characters, this way can hurt.

In simple terms, you have to get all the bad endings for all the characters.

Some of the characters are "harder" to fail. For example, you should be avoiding any extra hearts that the characters can provide and also make sure to choose all the wrong options for all the characters.

For PartyNoob: They have one extra heart choice before you start the minigame, this one is in context of PartyNoob talking about Pest. You have to press "I kinda don't care." to not gain a heart here.

Now in the minigame you should start with 0 hearts.

PartyNoob also has a choice that will guarantee a heart, but in the same time, they have one to lose a heart.

When asked on Pancakes or waffles, whichever PartyNoob chooses, there is a choice to say that PartyNoob hates the other, in this screenshot, it's to say that they hate pancakes. (yes you can get the opposite)

So you can remove the heart that was gained in the question that you get guaranteed a heart.

You know you got the right ending when you reach this piece of dialogue:

For Pest: He's probably the easiest to lose as he doesn't have a guaranteed heart anywhere.

You just have to make sure you stay in 0 hearts in the minigame, DO NOT KILL THE CENTIPEDE. You know you got your desired ending when he replies like this:

For Infected: He's in the same spot as PartyNoob that he has extra hearts that you can gain. In the choice before meeting him, there is a choice between "(Why are we back home?)" and "Wait... Melanie you didn't...". The reason why I'm mentioning this is because both have different choices on his extra heart.

If you choose the first choice, when asked to shake his hand, you must press "Ignore him."

If it's the second choice, you need to press "Bruh, you better remember me this time."

Finally, you will be prompted to your next choice where you can gain a heart (but here, we are going to lose it obviously. When asked if you want to listen to his tangent or skip it, choose the "Skip ahead." option.

Now you should be starting with just 0 hearts.

Just like PartyNoob, Infected also has a choice that guarantees a heart, fret not! If you go by the choice to talk about his hair and refer to it as that it "Looks like Justin Bieber's", he will get mad and you will lose the guaranteed heart.

You know you got the right ending when you reach the following dialogue:

After you're done here, you should be able to get to Folly and get the extra heart + dialogue!

THE COMPLETIONIST

THIS ROUTE ONLY WORKS IN VERSION 1.2. Did not notice as I thought I programmed it properly in previous versions but stated in the comments, it isn't so PLEASE UPDATE YOUR GAME IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY FOR THIS ROUTE.

This is the way on if you want to be able to get all the success + final CGs in one run, safe for one dateable.

In simple terms, you have to get the good endings for all the characters and then when asked for your opinion, say the negative choice.

For starters, you will have to play as if you were going to succeed and get the happy ending for all the characters.

For PartyNoob: For starters, you must make sure that you get the good ending, just ensure you have the 5 hearts and in turn the success CG.

Once Melanie asks you about your opinion on PartyNoob, you will mention that they are overwhelming. One trend you will notice with these endings is that you will have a choice with Melanie and you have to put the bad one. If she reacts badly, you know you chose the right one.

For Pest: While not exactly negative sounding at first, you have to press the "He's the same old." option. Again, at first glance it doesn't seem like a lot, after all, Melanie doesn't react exactly badly, but Pest in canon has such a bad public reputation and here, the main character is seeing him from that reputation.

For Infected: We are back to the obviously wrong option, here you must choose "I'm not a fan." Where the MC will be more obvious in their distaste.

The moment that you finish Infected after succeeding all the dates, you should be able to get the final heart with Folly shown by different dialogue and a heart sound effect!

Why is this called The Completionist you may ask? Because you can still go after the characters you romanced earlier and get their final CGs if you save in the right spot! Realistically, you shouldn't get with the characters if you don't like them but what am I to stop you.

BONUS: THE EXTERMINATOR

This one is no longer in game, but I thought I would mention it in case you newer players might have thought older players were pulling your leg.

This one is done by choosing the centipede option in Pest's questions, choosing the option to "KILL ON SIGHT."

Which (obviously, as a bug) upsets Pest.

This choice, apart from upsetting Pest greatly, used to gain Folly's favour:

But as you might notice, this is the same dialogue as in the current game, so don't feel that you are missing much! Matter of fact, the newest version actually has more dialogue to this.

The only reason why I had removed this option was because I had programmed so many different ways to get her favour and everyone said the same way to get her favour and it was specifically the speedrunning one and it broke my heart </3 so much effort poured into Folly making you feel bad only for people to hurt Pest <///3.

But hey, now you got all these other options to explore and Folly's missing heart, so have fun!
